The Thomas Brown case has long captured my attention — not only for its tragedy, but for the extraordinary level of confusion, contradiction, and unanswered questions surrounding it.
What began as a local investigation into the disappearance of a 17-year-old has unraveled into a complex web of shifting narratives, discarded evidence, and institutional silence.
In connection with the launch of its Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit, the Texas Attorney General released a 249-page press packet — a document that raises as many questions as it attempts to answer. In addition, a series of lawsuits involving the family has brought new and often conflicting details to light.
For these reasons, we’ve chosen this as the focus of our first Public Case Review Project.
We are conducting a detailed, independent analysis of the AG’s report alongside publicly available court records, investigative interviews, and media coverage. Our goal is to consolidate the full scope of open-source materials into a single, accessible case archive.
This project will be presented through in-depth video analysis and a centralized document hub, allowing you to examine the evidence, track the contradictions, and follow the evolving timeline for yourself.
Stay tuned — more is coming soon.
